Dog details

For each client's dog, Pack can keep what you need to know on a walk: its vaccinations and medications, any conditions or allergies, its vet, someone to call in an emergency, and how it's handled. It's your record, private to you: Pack doesn't show it to the dog's owner.

Add or change a dog's details

1. Go to Clients and find the client.
2. Beside the dog, press Details.
3. Fill in what you know. Everything is optional, and you can come back to it any time.
4. Press Save details.

What you can record

• Basics: date of birth, weight, sex and whether the dog is desexed.
• Vaccinations: C3, C5, kennel cough or another vaccine, with when it was given and when it's next due. Press Add vaccination for each one.
• Medications: the name, the dose and when it's given. Pack keeps them as a record and never reminds anyone to give a dose.
• Health: conditions, allergies, and the vet's name and phone.
• Emergency contact: a name, a phone number and their relationship to the owner.
• Handling: on lead only or off lead allowed, whether the dog comes back when called, how it is with other dogs, people and children, whether treats are allowed, and its triggers.
• Your notes: anything else about the dog.

Vaccinations coming due

When a vaccination in your record is due within 30 days, or past its due date, Pack says so beside the dog on Clients, on each of its walks on your Schedule, and on the walk screen. It's a reminder for you to ask the owner about. Pack never cancels or refuses a walk over it.

If the dog is on Offleash

When a client links their dog from the Offleash app, they choose whether to share its health details and emergency contact with you. If they do, Details shows them at the top, under From Bluey's Offleash profile (for a dog called Bluey).

• They're the owner's, so you can see them but not change them.
• Where your own record says something different, Pack shows Your record says beside it, so you can check with your client. Pack doesn't change either one.
• If the owner stops sharing, their details disappear from Pack straight away, and your own record is still there.
• Nothing the owner shares is copied into your record or included in your export.

On a walk

The walk screen shows each dog's allergies, vet and emergency contact, using what the owner shares first and your own record otherwise, along with your handling notes, triggers, conditions and medications. If you've recorded the vet's phone, tap it to call.

An emergency contact is someone else's details

Your client's emergency contact is another person, so only record their details with their agreement or your client's.

Taking the details with you

The Dogs list in Export your data includes everything you've recorded here, and nothing the owner shares.
